It looks like there will be a change in thoughts on online casino gambling in the USA now a second senator teamed up with Barney Frank.
Senator Robert Menendez has prepared a change in law for online poker in the US to become legal. This changes are slowly but certain and rumors are spreading that more and more US senators will support new legislation that makes gambling in online casinos legal. Although poker is the main target it goes without saying that online casino visits will be open and legal to.
The current UIGEA, implemented in 2006, causes problems for lawmakers and financial institutions in the US cause the law is not clear on many aspects. There is to much room for speculations as lawyers say and that is never good for both government and civilians. The line between legal and illegal should be drawn straight and in bolt to avoid any discussion and innocent players being prosecuted.
The ‘new lawmakers’ don’t discuss whether online poker is a skill game and online casino games are games of chance, they just prepare for an open market for online gambling in general.
