Then you select you 2nd number which makes it a 1/45 (2nd number only 45 numbers left to choose from) that will equal 0.022222% of chance of picking the right one. And this continues by picking the rest of your numbers. For every next pick your chances are as follows;

• 3rd number – 44 numbers to choose from – equals 0.022727%
• 4th number – 43 numbers to choose form – equals 0.023256%
• 5th number – 42 numbers to choose from – equals 0.023810%

So now we have all the facts we can do some maths. in order to win this jackpot you will have to pick the first number right AND the second number AND the third number……etc. Why the word AND in capitals? Because we have to multiply it so calculating your odds this will come down to the folowing calculation; 1/46 x 1/45 x 1/44 x 1/43 x 1/42 = 1/164490480 ?!?!

Now given the fact that you have choosen the 5 in any order your odds will increase a bit. Your chance betters by the number of different ways that a sequence of 5 numbers can be written down, which for 5 numbers is 5! (5 factorial) or 120. Divide 164490480 by 120 to account for this, to get 1370754

There you go your chances on winning the State Lottery are: 1.370.754.  Now let’s see what odds you have on other ‘happenings’ with betters odds;

• Eating an oyster gives you a 1 in 12.000 chance of finding a pearl!
• Being pregnant gives you a chance of 1 in 705.000 to give bitrh to quadruplets
• Making a hole in one – 5000 to 1

Keno from origine a Chinese game (yes where have we heard that before?!) is now widely spread around all the best online casinos out there.
